Made to
matter.
Bags and accessories crafted from plant-based leathers - made from the parts of the harvest that go on to become something else entirely.
Leather, reconsidered.
Taru Aroha was born from a simple conviction: that the most beautiful things need not come at a cost to the earth. Our materials are derived from agricultural waste - banana stems, cactus leaves, apple pomace, mango fibre - transformed through craft into accessories designed to last.
This is not sustainability as statement. It is craftsmanship that simply happens to leave nothing behind.
Made to carry the everyday, and the occasion.
Four plants.
Infinite form.
Banana. Sugarcane. Cactus. Apple. Each material has its own character - its own texture, drape, and finish. We work with what the land offers, and let it speak.

Three sisters. One quiet conviction.
Taru Aroha was founded by three sisters who spent decades in corporate life, and who, somewhere along the way, developed an acute sensitivity to what things are made of, and what they cost the world.
